OjiFS Wins 'Outside of the Box Design of the Year' category at PIDA Awards
We are thrilled to have won the “clean sweep” of the category win, as well as silver and bronze, in the ‘Outside of the Box Design of the Year’ at the PIDA Awards ceremony last night:

Coordinated by the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP), the Australasian Packaging Innovation & Design (PIDA) Awards are designed to recognise companies and individuals who are making a significant difference in their field in Australia and New Zealand.
Judges looked for entries that display innovative:
- Design and thinking
- Technology and/or material use
- Benefit to consumers
- Functional and /or convenient elements
- Design and cost elements between standard packaging and premium / promotional packaging
Winning the ‘Design Innovation of the Year Award – Outside of the Box category’ makes us eligible to enter the global WorldStar Packaging Awards in October 2023.
Our Winning Products
CATEGORY WIN: Food Packaging - Coola Box
This simple hand erected box with snug fit overlapping walls for appropriate temperature control, creates a barrier between chilled products and ambient products, in a home meals kit delivered to consumers. The Coola Box also achieves better space utilisation and increases the number of items that can be safely packed, which results in a reduction of transit damages.
Silver: Snell Packaging – Mattress Corner Protector
These four corner glued trays snap in half to make the perfect corner to protect a mattress. Four sizes were required, and we developed one design that work for all. The slit in the design allows it to be adjustable, so the customer no longer needs to hold all the SKU’s.
Bronze: Future Ecology – EmGuard (Plant Guard)
In the past green plastic corflute triangle guards were imported from overseas. We worked with our customer to create a more sustainable product that would break down after the tree is mature enough to thrive on its own.
